Shaghayegh Mazaherian, AMFT,

Shaghayegh Mazaherian, AMFT, received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. She is dedicated to helping children and their families navigate a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, and behavioral issues. Shaghayegh provides a supportive environment where children can heal from past traumas and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

In addition to her work with children, Shaghayegh assists parents in understanding and managing the complexities of raising children and teens. She aims to make the parenting journey smoother and more fulfilling by offering guidance and practical strategies.

Shaghayegh also has extensive experience working with individuals who have a history of domestic violence. She helps clients recognize and break unhealthy patterns, fostering a path towards healing and healthier relationships.

Shaghayegh is bilingual in Farsi and has received specialized training in the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a form of psychotherapy that aids in trauma healing and alleviates distress from life events or stress.
