Stephanie Kavoulakos is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. In the ten years that Stephanie has worked in the mental health field, she has acquired extensive direct client care and administrative management experience. Stephanie served as the Clinical Director at two residential substance abuse/dual diagnosis facilities. Additionally, her clinical experience includes work in community, school and private practice settings with adults, couples, families, adolescents and children.

With a diverse background that includes a long-time career as an executive in the music industry, Stephanie received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. Stephanie is trained and/or certified in several Evidenced-Based Practices related to addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Stephanie completed her EMDR Therapy training through the Institute of Creative Mindfulness with Dr. Stephen Dansiger.

Stephanie’s therapeutic approach is holistic and eclectic, integrating a trauma-informed sensibility with mindfulness, family systems and solution focused interventions.  She is passionate about working with creative individuals, addictive disorders, along with relational and complex trauma. Stephanie is skilled at guiding clients and their families to uncovering their inner resources through a collaborative and inspired exploration process, utilizing CBT, DBT and brief psychodynamic therapy, among other modalities.

Stephanie is active in her local CAMFT chapter and served on the board of the San Fernando Valley chapter of CAMFT for several years.
